Diggnation was coming to London and there was a bigg (!) buzz surrounding the event. It took place at the Future Of Web Apps conference, hosted at the ExCel center on the 3rd Oct 2007. Now normally, I'd be jumping around waiting to see Kevin and Alex do their thing, but today was no normal day... today I got the call I'd been waiting for, for weeks - my drum kit had arrived and was ready to pick up!
My girlfriend had already said that she'd be willing to go with me to Diggnation, even though she'd never seen the show and didn't particularly relish the thought of spending an hour in a room filled with nerds from all over the place... but she'd offered non the less and I took her up on the offer... but like I say, this was no normal day. The drum kit I'd been waiting for was the Traps e400 (with the 450 brain) - an amazing bit of kit and I've never played the drums before, so I was really excited. What a dilemma. Eventually I came to my senses and rationalised that I'd have the rest of my life to hit drums (badly), but only one chance to go see Diggnation filmed live... so I went - and glad of it I was too!
We turned up and looked for somewhere to sit. We were walking down the center of the room towards the front when Bex asked 'Is that Kevin Rose?' - and nodded towards the front row. I couldnt see too clearly as there was a nerd in the way, but not taking any chances, and in one swift move I whipped out my camera, turned it on and bundled it into her hands ready for me to hassle him for a photo.
We stood right in front of an ever increasing audience, waiting for the guy to stop talking to Kevin. Eventually he did and as 'The K Man' (as bex calls him) was turning to leave, I caught up with him, shot my hand out and asked/made him pose for a shot. Luckily the camera worked and I got the shot...

Show was cool. Biggest turn out ever. I think Bex enjoyed it more than she let on :)
